MB Energy Services was founded in 2019 by Martin Beirne. Martin has over ten years’ experience working within the Energy Industry and is a Graduate of TU Dublin with a B.Sc. in Energy and Environmental Engineering and is also qualified as both a domestic and non-domestic energy assessor.

Martin was previously Managing Director of DCI EC Group Ltd, one of the largest energy retrofitting contractors retrofitting homes throughout the island of Ireland for over twenty years.

During his time with DCI Martin oversaw energy upgrade work carried out to in excess of 15,000 homes over a ten-year period.

Martin was involved in the pilot of SEAI Deep Retrofit scheme through project design and contractor delivery. Over the past four years Martin designed and oversaw the delivery of Deep Retrofits to over fifty homes, all upgraded to A rated properties.

Over his time as Managing Director of DCI Martin has worked closely with various stakeholders engaged in the delivery of Irelands Climate Change Action Plan such as SEAI, Kingspan, SSE Airtricity, Energia as well as over twenty Local Authorities, housing associations and other vested interests.

In 2019 Martin decided to step away from his role in DCI and share his extensive knowledge of energy retrofit with others involved in Irelands Climate Change Action Plan in order to assist in the extension of the supply chain in what is a rapidly growing industry.
